Photography print buying guide

Choose a photograph, match the size to your wall, then compare materials. Physical prints are produced on sale; photography licensing is available separately for professional projects.

Sizes that fit the photograph

Common landscape sizes include 12 × 8, 24 × 16, 36 × 24 and 60 × 40 inches. Square and panoramic photographs have different proportions. The print configurator lists the sizes available for each image and finish; larger architectural work needs a project-specific specification.

Compare print materials

MaterialWhat to consider
Fine-art paperAn archival paper print; consider the frame and glazing as part of your installation.
CanvasA textured surface with gallery-wrap options in the configurator.
MetalA rigid aluminum print surface; compare the available finish and mounting options.
AcrylicAcrylic adds a glossy, dimensional presentation; account for reflections in the room.
WoodA wood print surface for a different material character; review the image with the selected finish.

Available sizes, finishes, mounting and prices are shown in the configurator. Choose a photograph and view print options.

How editions work

Selected Archive-35 works on Saatchi Art are offered as limited editions of 25, signed and numbered, with a certificate of authenticity. An edition number identifies a print within the stated edition. Check the individual listing for its edition size, material and dimensions; do not assume every format or product has the same edition terms.

A physical print purchase provides the print for display. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the photographer. A separate license is needed to reproduce the image or use the master in a professional project.

Photography licensing: $350–$7,000

Licensing depends on the selected image and intended use. Discuss the setting, reproduction size, project scope and required rights before selecting a license. The licensing page states the applicable tiers, terms and exact price.
